Sara B site
Sara Bareilles is a pop-singer, with a really good voice and smart melodies, and she writes the lyrics for the songs too, pretty good lyrics. Needles to say, the band and the singer has got the feeling. Damn good pop songs. (Whatever 'pop' means.)

Amazing music. This band is breathtaking. There sound is very soft and quiet, but filled with a fine kind of passion. No one useless nor tired sec in the tracks.
This is like the music of the towns; then, let's say, Michael Jackson is the city's, probably.

I'm from Hungary, maybe you shouldn't believe me on this subject:)
This is a well-readable, interesting site and text about Transilvania in general. But there are problems with it.

'Where are you from?' people ask. 'Are you Hungarian? Are you Romanian?' Well, answer i, i'm from the fantastic and mysterious land (homeland) of childhood, and i'm from the 19th year-of-life, and i'm from this bittersweet EXISTence filled with hatred, love and the towel. 'But your nationality, what's with the nation?' they ask. What's with the nation? I believe, and i think this is true, that the nation (just like the state or the family) is to make life good (good-able: guarantee the right of "the pursuit of happiness") for the people. This is nation: we associate, because unless tigers or being bored would kill us.

What then? Then Nation lives for People, and People love their Nation: which is themselves - but not People live for the Nation! So, because i'd like to live a good and succesful life, i love my Nation and maybe feel OK to die for it! (actually i don't think i'm that heroic:) - but will never feel OK to hate an other Nation and other People. To hate the other people, that would absolutely defeat the purpose.

Romanian and Hungarian people had some painful conflicts in the past, that's true. Transilvania once was ruled by Hungarian Kingdom, then (and now) by Romania. It was a huge historical conflict between the two states. But for no reasons will i think about any Romanian fellows and girls with hate, com'on, this is 2008! We want to live well as much as we can, causing no pain to others, or don't we?
Hate any 19-year-old because a national-historical conflict nor she nor i have to do anything with?! HELL NO!!

Ok, but what's with the site?
--NOW we, Hungarian and Romanian, live together in Transilvania. We gotta share it, that's it.
- This is the first problem: the site can be read in several languages, but not in Hungarian. Com'on, there are a lot of Hungarian people living in Transilvania for about a thousand years. How come there is no Hungarian translation?
- The text about the history of Transilvania tells us about the ancient (pre-Stone age, you know) history of Transilvania. Well, these eras are always hard to talk about, every nation decides from which millions-before-Christ they would like to come. I don't decide. - But take a look at this part: "It is more obvious than Transylvania gave the first writings to the world." This concept is false. Er, i mean: man, you would be fired from every Western University if you eat this, with an 'E' mark! Every historian knows, except Romanian&Hungarian historians, that who were the first writers. The first writer guys can not put their hands up, because they're dead for about five thousand years. Sumer, of course.
Yes, it's true that directed by the love of their nation, some guys used to tell about relationships to greater ancient nations and glorious past-illusions (more glorious than the past one). For example, almost every nation loves to think that he came first before every nation. Stupidness. B.C. 4000: Hungarian nation didn't exist, despite some dreamers would love to say Adam was Hungarian. No please. O yes, and please don't take the glory of first-writing-in-history from the sumers. Isn't it enough for them that they're in nowhere now? shouldn't steal their past too.

You see? Science, history, knowledge and POWER are in connection, and science and our everyday-knowledge sucks.

This text about the history tells if it was truth, but is directed by POWER. Romanian people fought for their independence against Hungarian Kingdom for 800 years? Com'on, there were no battles between them (us?) until 1848. They (we?) lived together for those 800 years all right. Some idiots, who don't know what Life and Nation is for, would like to see us fight, in the past, in the ever.
Don't let past nor these guys direct our lives.
(i think)

Marié Under is one of the greatest Estonian poets, she has some cool pieces, lived a long life, after '45, out in Sweden.
Under Marie is a lovely Estonian pop band, some samples you can listen to on the site and also a few videoclips are to watch on youtube.

52nd street in New York, 1950's. This will never be the same again, says Miles Davis. These times here was Bird and Hawk and Dizz, playing their new style, the golden age and the dream team. Every wishes if could be there. If couldn't be there but just his ears, just his feet.

Steely Dan (1971-1981 -and till?), a great band.
this track's called the Midnight cruiser

"Thelonious, my old friend,
Step on in and let me shake your hand.
So glad that you're here again.
For one more time, let your madness run with mine.

Streets still unseen we'll find somehow
No time is better than now

[Chorus]
Tell me, where are you driving, midnite cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentleman loser,
Drive me to harlem, or somewhere the same.

The world that we used to know,
People tell me it don't turn no more.
The places we used to go,
Familiar faces that ain't smiling like before.

The time of our time has come and gone
I fear we've been waiting too long

[Chorus]
Tell me, where are you driving, midnite cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentleman loser,
Drive me to harlem, or somewhere the same.

[Chorus]
Tell me, where are you driving, midnite cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentleman loser,
Drive me to harlem, or somewhere the same.

[Chorus]
Tell me, where are you driving, midnite cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentleman loser,
Drive me to harlem, or somewhere the same."
